General-purpose technology · R&D → Production → Platforms

One parameter.
Infinite configurations.

OneParameter is a general-purpose technology company. We research, build, and ship platforms, developer tools, and infrastructure that are not tied to one industry — because the best technology works everywhere.

01 · What we do

One company,
three disciplines.

We are organized like a lab and run like a factory: ideas enter research, survive engineering review, and leave as maintained products.

DIV / R

Research

Long-horizon work on computing fundamentals: coordination, data encoding, search, and human-machine interfaces.

  • Applied research lab
  • 40+ peer collaborations
  • Open publications program
DIV / E

Production

Research graduates into hardened systems: versioned, tested, documented, and operated by the people who built it.

  • Continuous delivery pipelines
  • 99.9% uptime engineering
  • Security-reviewed releases
DIV / P

Platforms & Tools

General-purpose building blocks — APIs, SDKs, and consoles — designed so any team, in any field, can assemble them.

  • Public APIs & SDKs
  • Self-serve developer console
  • Perpetual version support
02 · Platforms

General-purpose
by design.

Four platforms in production today. Each is industry-agnostic on purpose — the same engine that routes deliveries can route data, payments, or people.

OP / FLOWGenerally available

Flow Engine

A workflow orchestration platform: model any process as composable steps, run millions of them in parallel, and replay any execution from history.

OP / LATTICEGenerally available

Lattice Data Mesh

A unified data layer that sits over any storage — SQL, files, streams — and exposes one queryable, access-controlled graph of your information.

Forge Toolkit

A developer toolkit for building internal tools fast: typed APIs, UI primitives, auth, and audit logging — assembled like parts on a bench.

03 · Approach

From whiteboard
to worldwide.

Every product follows the same four-phase path. Nothing ships until it clears engineering review — and nothing is abandoned after it does.

P—01

Explore

Researchers and engineers interrogate a problem space together. Output: a working prototype and a written thesis, both public when possible.

P—02

Harden

The prototype faces adversarial review: load, failure, and security testing. Most ideas stop here — that is the point of having a gate.

P—03

Ship

Survivors become versioned products with documentation, SDKs, and migration guides. We ship behind flags and roll out gradually.

P—04

Operate

Builders carry the pager. Every platform team owns its uptime, its roadmap, and a public changelog — in perpetuity.

04 · Principles

What we optimize for.

Six rules we print on the wall and actually follow — the reason our technology stays general-purpose instead of becoming someone else's feature.

I.

General over specific

If a solution only works for one customer, it is consulting, not technology. We build the abstraction that works for a thousand.

II.

Open by default

Open formats, public APIs, documented internals. Your data and your integrations belong to you — portability is a feature, not a concession.

III.

Boring reliability

We choose proven primitives over fashionable ones. Downtime is the only metric our customers should never have to think about.

IV.

Small surface area

Every platform does a few things completely. Features are composable parameters, not one-off branches in the code.

V.

Research with a deadline

Exploration is funded and protected — but it must produce a prototype, a paper, or a postmortem. Nothing disappears into a drawer.

VI.

Long-term ownership

We support every version we ship for years, not quarters. Deprecations come with migration paths, written by humans.
